Message In A Bottle
One day, at the local flea market, I found a large box of old bottles which appealed to me so much that I bought them all. They sat around for a year or two before I got around to figuring out what the most romantic thing I could do with these delightfully old-fashioned bottles?
Since I love beach combing and the excitement of finding a new treasure washed up along the shore, I decided to start weaving waxed string or beaded hemp around bottles of all sizes. Every once in a while I would put in a message and send it off the great beyond!
I never listed a return address or my name because I felt like that would take away from the magic. I believe that someone will always find a bottle when they really need it. I know if I was feeling unsure in life, or sad, or had just had a rough day, wouldn’t it be great to have a message wash up with the answer?
I’d be happy to send a message for you since I live right by the ocean, or I can prepare the bottle for you and you can put your own message in. If you would like a picture of your message in a bottle making its way to strange shores, please let me know when ordering!
